| 4. HOW MANY DECOYS SHOULD I USE? |
|
For your in-house mailings:
Minimum Coverage. For a national mailing you should have at least 1
decoy address in each of the 21 Bulk Mail Centers and 1 in each of the 8
Auxiliary Service Facilities (29 total).
Better Coverage. You should have 1 in each of the 50 states in the
United States (50 total).
The Best Coverage. All 21 BMC'S & 8 ASF'S, every state in the
United States, multiple addresses in the larger states such as New York,
Illinois, Texas, California, etc., and where your list is most heavily
concentrated.
For list rental protection: The average number of decoys to insert into each
rental is 10. Of course, the greater the coverage the better the security.
